Jennifer Oakley has a nursing background in excess of 20 years, with vast experience working both in the community and in the acute settings. Jennifer has had specialist accredited training in aural microsuctioning through the auspicious Ear Care Academy based in the Charing Cross Hospital.
Jenny read for her adult nursing degree in the university of Malta and graduated in 2006, she gained experience in the acute setting working on a surgical unit for about a year before moving into Community Nursing. Jenny worked for 8 years as a Community Nurse in Malta working for the Malta memorial district nursing association. During her time as a community nurse she visited thousands of people to offer nursing services in their homes. The work was incredibly varied and demanding and she took care of anything from wound care to complex nursing needs that were required in community.
In 2015 Jenny moved to the UK and started working in nursing home settings. She became clinical lead quickly and moved into a deputy manager role shortly after that. Jenny then transferred to a large organisation as a peripatetic nurse and travelled across the country teaching and supporting nursing homes that required clinical excellence.
Jenny trained with the auspicious Ear Academy in early 2019 and since then has been visiting people in their homes and in nursing homes to provide ear microsuctioning in the community. She felt passionate that some people were unable to leave their homes to attend clinics and there was no services in the community for ear wax removal, and so Clear Ear Mobile Microsuctioning Service was born to provide that service.
